About Us

Hygenik Industrial Hygiene Solutions was founded in the Lowveld with a vision to provide high-quality, application-specific chemical solutions tailored to the unique needs of South African industries. The company was established in Barberton and focused on chemical blending and customised formulations.

Hygenik expanded beyond chemical manufacturing by introducing professional hygiene services, including washroom hygiene solutions, dispenser installations, consumable supply and ongoing service support.

Investment in production facilities, product development and warehousing enabled Hygenik to expand its range of cleaning chemicals, detergents, degreasers and sanitation products.

To provide a more comprehensive service offering, Hygenik launched its pest control division, helping customers maintain safe, hygienic and compliant environments.

Hygenik secured its first water treatment chemical orders, marking the company's entry into the water treatment sector and laying the foundation for future product development and growth.

A landmark year for Hygenik, marked by the launch of the SediClear water treatment range, the opening of our Nelspruit Retail Store, and the purchase of our first business premises—establishing a permanent home for manufacturing, warehousing, retail operations, and future growth.

Continuing our journey of growth, 2026 sees Hygenik expanding into new markets, including medical gas supply, while modernising our head office to create a more collaborative, welcoming space for our growing team.
